Where can I register to vote?
You can register to vote at any of the following locations:

  • Our office (download the form)
  • Any Armed Forces Recruiting Office
  • The Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles
  • Agencies for the Disabled
  • The Public Assistance Office
  • You can also get a copy of the Voter Registration form, as well as other voting information, in the phone book. Look in the government section (blue pages)

I am interested in filing for office, how can I do this?
To file as a candidate you must file with the election commissioners office.

  • If the office you are filing for has a filing fee you must pay this fee at the Treasurers office and present you receipt upon filing.

  • If the office you filing for requires a statement of financial interest to be filed with the Accountability and Disclosure Commission your filing is not complete until this office receives a copy.

Is there a filing deadline?
Yes if you currently are an office holder or incumbent, you must file by July 15th and if you are not currently holding the office your filing date is August 1st for the general election.

What is the deadline to register to vote?
The deadline to register to vote is 10 days prior to any election.

How do I apply for an Early Ballot?
To receive a ballot you must complete an Early Voting Application, and forward it to this to the Election office. You can download the required form by clicking here.

I’m interested in being a poll worker, how do I sign-up?
If you are interested in being a poll worker please contact the election office and we will add you to our list of workers. You must be a resident of Hall County, a registered voter. We require you to attend training and be able to work a full day election day.
