Job Opening: Administrative Assistant

The Hall County Dept. of Corrections is seeking an Administrative Assistant. This position requires a person with versatility, strong work ethic, and ability to multitask. The job requires knowledge in the areas of accounting, human resources, and payroll. Successful candidates shall demonstrate the ability to plan, organize, and cross train. They shall establish and maintain effective working relationships with governmental officials, other employees, and the general public, effectively communicating orally and in writing. They must be able to acquire considerable knowledge of correctional principles, practices, and procedure of office management.

This position answers directly to the Executive Assistant and assists her in carrying out the mission of the Department of Corrections. Notice of General Election

Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, the 8th day of November, 2016 at the usual polling places in the precincts of Hall County, Nebraska an election will be held. The polls will be open at 8:00 a.m. CST and close at 8:00 p.m CST. Said election will be for electing candidates to various offices. The Secretary of State will publish a true copy of the title and text of any amendment or referendums once each week for three consecutive weeks preceding the election.

Applications are now being accepted for a FULL TIME Child Support Case Worker. Serious candidates MUST have: One year of secretarial experience within the past 2 years. An Associates Degree in paralegal studies preferred or combination of required secretarial experience and education accepted; demonstrate excellent computer, typing and organizational skills. Demonstrate the ability to work well in a fast-paced and multi-task environment; with excellent communication skills when working with the public and co-workers.
